Volunteers play an important role in helping Yah Nation Athletics provide a positive, organized, and safe environment across all of our programs.Depending on the program, volunteers may assist with:Setting up and breaking down training equipmentHelping prepare fields and training stationsKeeping hydration stations stocked for athletesAssisting coaches during drills and activitiesEncouraging and guiding younger athletesSupporting check-in and athlete flowCapturing photos and videos for media contentAssisting with camps, academies, clinics, special events, and community outreachHelping sessions run safely, efficiently, and on scheduleEvery volunteer is valuable. Based on your interests, experience, and availability, the Yah Nation Administration Team will place you where you can make the greatest impact.Whether you're serving one day a month or multiple times each week, your time helps us continue developing athletes, building leaders, and strengthening our Southshore community.

What Should Volunteer Expect

Volunteer on the day(s) and time(s) we mutually agree upon.Arrive 15–30 minutes early to help set up fields, equipment, hydration stations, and training areas.Stay a few minutes after the session to help clean up and pack equipment.Wear your Yah Nation volunteer shirt (provided by us).If you're unable to attend, simply notify the Yah Nation Administration Team as soon as possible.Our goal is simple: show up, serve with purpose, and help create a positive, organized environment where every athlete can develop. We handle the planning—you help us make the experience great for our youth athletes and families.

For High School Athletes

High school student-athletes are encouraged to volunteer with Yah Nation Athletics and give back to the next generation of Southshore youth football athletes. Many of these young athletes look up to you and dream of one day competing at the high school level. Your leadership, encouragement, and example can make a lasting impact on their confidence, work ethic, and love for the game.As a Yah Nation Volunteer, you'll receive:Verified volunteer/service hoursFree training opportunities while volunteeringLeadership and coaching experienceThe opportunity to mentor and inspire the next generationExperience serving within a growing youth development organizationCommitment & CommunicationBefore committing to volunteer, please communicate with your parent or guardian to ensure they are aware of the agreed-upon volunteer days, times, and transportation.We ask every volunteer to be dependable, arrive on time, and communicate with the Yah Nation Administration Team if plans change. Consistency helps us provide the best experience for the young athletes who are counting on you.Volunteer hour documentation will be provided and verified by the Yah Nation Administration Team.Today's little league athlete could be tomorrow's varsity leader. Help us develop the next generation by leading through your example.

For Adult Volunteers

Adults play a vital role in helping Yah Nation provide a safe, positive, and organized environment for every athlete. Whether you're a parent, coach, community member, or simply someone who wants to make a difference, we'd love to have you on our team.For the safety of all athletes, we'll ask a few questions during the volunteer process:Are you CPR & AED Certified?Have you completed NFHS Concussion in Sports Training?Have you completed NFHS Heat Illness Prevention Training?If you've already completed these certifications, just let us know.If not, no problem. The Yah Nation Administration Team will help guide you through the free NFHS courses, so you're prepared to safely support our athletes.As our organization continues to grow, all adult volunteers will also be required to complete any background screening requirements established by Yah Nation Athletics and our facility partners before working directly with youth athletes.Our goal is simple: build a safe, encouraging environment where every child can develop with confidence while serving the Southshore community together.

What Happens After You Sign Up

Once you submit your volunteer application, the Yah Nation Administration Team will review your information and contact you with the next steps.Here's what you can expect:You'll receive a text message or phone call from a Yah Nation Administrator.We'll discuss your interests, availability, and the volunteer role that best fits you.If any certifications or background requirements are needed, we'll guide you through the process.Once everything is complete, we'll schedule your first volunteer day and provide all the details you'll need.When you arrive, a coach or administrator will welcome you, answer any questions, and show you exactly how you can help.Our goal is to make the process simple, organized, and enjoyable so you can focus on making a positive impact on the next generation of Southshore youth athletes.
